The important of security door !!!
Security doors are an important feature for any home or business. They provide an extra layer of protection against intruders and can give you peace of mind knowing that your property is secure. In this blog, we will explore the different types of security doors available and the benefits of each.
One of the most common types of security doors is the steel security door. These doors are made of heavy-duty steel and are designed to be strong and durable. They often have a reinforced frame and may also include additional features such as a deadbolt lock or security screen. Steel security doors are a popular choice due to their strength and ability to deter potential burglars.
Another type of security door is the wood security door. These doors are made of solid wood and may include features such as a deadbolt lock and security screen. While they may not be as strong as steel security doors, they can still provide a good level of protection and can be a good option for those who prefer the look of a wood door.
Security screen doors are another option for those looking to add an extra layer of security to their home. These doors have a mesh screen that allows for airflow and visibility but prevents intruders from entering the property. They are often made of heavy-duty material such as stainless steel and are designed to be tamper resistant.
One of the main benefits of security doors is their added protection layer. They can help to deter burglars and provide peace of mind knowing that your property is secure. In addition to the security benefits, security doors can also help to reduce energy costs by providing an extra barrier against drafts and heat loss.
When choosing a security door, it's important to consider the level of protection you need and the style of door that will best suit your home. Many options are available, from basic steel doors to more elaborate wood and security screen doors. By doing your research and choosing a high-quality security door, you can ensure that your home or business is secure and protected.

3. Knob locks: Knob locks are a type of lock that is commonly found on interior doors. They are not as secure as deadbolts, but they are inexpensive and easy to use.

French iron security door
French doors are a sign of elegance and beauty; the houses that have French doors tend to be absolutely beautiful. Now there are days throughout the year that the weather is amazing and you would like to open your French doors to let the cool breeze into your house, but there are a lot of pesky little things you would like to keep out of your house like varmint. That is where a French security door can come into play.
French doors are always one of the most compromised areas for home security because the center of the door is not made very sturdy. In the center of a typical French door it has two little pegs/slide latches and they usually only go into a thin piece of wood that can be very easily broken.
So what can you do to help secure your home?
We suggest installing a French Security Door. Our French security doors are custom made to fit your French door. All Custom Iron French Security Doors are made to mount inside of your door jamb/frame so there are no exposed bolts. It gives a very clean look and is better for mounting that is also what makes our French security doors a true security door. You cannot take our security door off unless you are already inside. Our French security doors don’t have to look like you are in jail we can custom make a beautiful design that looks amazing and will add value to your house. Our French security doors have a full four sided frame and when we make the stationary door side we add steel pins into the door for added security. With steel pins in the stationary door one steel pin will go up into the top side of the door and one will go down into the bottom of the steel frame and that makes the center of the door a strong secure point. Now you can feel secure in knowing that not only is your home more secure but you can also leave your doors open to enjoy the cool breeze and not have to worry about varmint getting into your house.
Now you may ask, how do I go about ordering a French Security door? First we need your French door measurements they do not need to be exact just close, we need the measurements from side to side and then top to bottom for example 64” from side to side and 80” from top to bottom it will look like this 64” x 80”. Now that we have the size of your door there is just one more step we need and that is what design you’re interested in. You can go to our website (www.Allcustomiron.com) and pick one of the designs that we have already made or you can go around your neighborhood and take a picture of a design you like. Then you can either email us the information or give us a call (702)850-4082 and we can give you a free quote. We look forward to working with you and helping you secure your home.
Thank you.

How to install a Security Door
Our topic of the day is how to install a Security Door; this is for our DIY’ers that want to install their security door themselves.
We have installed thousands of security doors over the last ten years so we have found the best and most efficient ways to install security doors. We will first go over supplies needed to install a security door and then we will move on to how to do the install. First of all our security doors can be very heavy so we definitely recommend having two people to do the install. Next we will move on to what tools you will need to have on hand to do the install. You will definitely need a drill or an impacted with the right driver bit to fit the size blot you are going to use. Next you will need to get some lag bolts we use 3/8” x 3” inch up to 4”inch long. The reason that we do that is to make sure that we go into the king stud on the sides of the door frame. You will need a Phillips #2 hand screw driver so you can put on the lock and knob and you will also need a hammer to bend the tabs in. Some time the tabs are bent but you might need to bend it more toward the door frame. You will also need an adjustable wrench so you can take the brake away bar off the bottom of the door frame.
Now it is time to start the install, first you will have to take the plastic and foam off the door but be careful not to scratch your powder coating. Next it’s time to have your helper come over, you can then pick up the security door and insert the security door into the door opening. One of you would grab the security door on the hinge side and the other person will grab the security door on the lock and knob side. Both of you will pick the door up and very gently insert the security door in to the door opening. Try to put the hinge side in first and then the lock and knob side. Ok the person who is holding the hinge side will stay holding the door and the one person who is holding the lock and knob side will gently start to open the door. Open the door about 90 degrees the person that is holding the hinge side of the security door will let go of the hinge and grab the security door and then push the door in to the opening so there is no gap in between the two frames. Now you will grab the drill or impacted with your 3” inch or 4”inch lag bolts and I like to start with the top bolt hole on the hinge side of the security door. After you get the bolt in don’t forget to snug the bolt up, remember this is the only one holing the door up! Don’t worry if the door dose not shut we are not there yet. You will need to have the other person still pushing on the door so you can keep the gap as small as possible at this point you should put the other two to three bolts (depends on door height) in on the hinge side. Ok now you will need to step inside of the house and have your friend close the security door you might have to push the frame against the wood door frame to get the security door to shut. Take two or three steps back and look at the top of the door there should be about a 1/8”inch gap on the top, across the top. If the gap changes from one side to another you will have the other person lift the security door frame on the lock side up or down to get the gap on the top to be the same from one side to the other. When you get the security door frame to where you like it you will start to put the lag bolts in on the knob side of the security door frame. Remember to put all the bolts in tight you can pre drill the hole if you would like but we usually don’t.
Now it is time to put the lock and knob into your newly installed security door and enjoy your added security and beauty. If you have any questions you can check out the security door install video above or give us a call at 702-850-4082.

Are you looking for home security?
Where the most likely place is a brake in going to happen at your house?
Well according to KTVB 7 they served 86 inmates serving time for burglary, and they all said “I would kick in the door rather than break glass. Loud bangs are better than loud glass breaking, plus you run the risk of getting cut”.
What time of day did they prefer to break in?
Burglars prefer breaking in early morning or afternoon.
“Between 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm. Anyone that was home for lunch should be gone by then and most kids should all still be in school,” wrote a convicted burglar.
So most break ins happen while you are at work so a gun, or home security sign or system will not stop them they said that a home security alarm is not a deal breaker.
They got asked if they knock on the door before breaking in?
They all said “Yes” and they said “Act like I was lost or looking for a friend.”
“I would approach the resident as though they had posted an ad on Craigslist.”
“Say wrong house, sorry and thank you.”
“Ask if they'd seen my dog and leave.”
“Sometimes I would wear nice clothing and print a questionnaire off the Internet and carry a clipboard and see if they could spare a moment for an anonymous survey.”
What is the one thing homeowners can do to avoid being burglarized?
“Put bars on your windows and doors, get an alarm, keep an extra car in the driveway, keep lights, TVs and radios on when you leave your home,” read one questionnaire.
The first thing they said is “put bars on your windows and door”.
