Burglars prefer breaking in early morning or afternoon. “Between 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm. Anyone that was home for lunch should be gone by then and most kids should all still be in school,” wrote a convicted burglar. So most break ins happen while you are at work so a gun, or home security sign or system will not stop them they said that a home security alarm is not a deal breaker. They got asked if they knock on the door before breaking in? They all said “Yes” and they said “Act like I was lost or looking for a friend.” “I would approach the resident as though they had posted an ad on Craigslist.” “Say wrong house, sorry and thank you.” “Ask if they'd seen my dog and leave.” “Sometimes I would wear nice clothing and print a questionnaire off the Internet and carry a clipboard and see if they could spare a moment for an anonymous survey.” What is the one thing homeowners can do to avoid being burglarized? “Put bars on your windows and doors, get an alarm, keep an extra car in the driveway, keep lights, TVs and radios on when you leave your home,” read one questionnaire. Please give us a call @ 702-850-4082 or go to https://www.allcustomiron.com/ As cities like Las Vegas grow, one of the invariable aspects that goes along with size is a rising crime rate. This is generally associated with poverty, or a lack of available jobs that would be able to sustain a family at a minimum standard, but this article is not about attempting to solve the crime problems. This article is about protecting yourself from the crime problems that exist in our city. As you accumulate more things over time, the desire to protect them from being stolen grows. This same feeling is generally attributed to your family as well, with a desire to protect them from harm growing as you see the criminal activity happening all around you. Delving into different methods of protection will generally bring a few different options into the forefront. Aside from weapons stored in the house as a form of protection while you were there, the issues will usually involve break ins that happen while you aren’t there. Most people who are interested in stealing from you do not want to confront you, which means that they watch for the time when you’re not in the house in order to make their move. The aspects of self protection come into play when you aren’t there will generally involve security cameras or some other form deterrent.
The main issue with security cameras is that they cannot do anything to actually prevent the crime. They record the activity, and may act as a deterrent for someone who is concerned about being identified later, but they do nothing to actually prevent that person from entering your home. While there is nothing wrong with installing security cameras within your home, it is best to think of them in combination with something like iron security doors also installed. An iron security door is going to act as a barrier to entry, making it far more difficult for a bad person to get inside your house. The most common areas of a home that a thief will exploit to get inside our windows or doors. Windows are easily broken and doors are easily kicked in, providing access for the person who wants to get inside and only spend a few minutes before they leave. The best defense against this kind of break in is to beef up the materials that standing between them and the inside of your house. This is where security doors made from iron come into play. Iron is one of the most difficult materials to break through that exists on earth. In order to breach the welded iron security door, a person is going to need to saw through the iron or somehow remove the door from the hinges entirely. Most thieves are simply opportunists who do not want to take the time and effort they would require to get through this kind of door. When you present a more difficult situation for them to exploit, many times they move onto the next soft target. This is why the growth of Las Vegas corresponds to the growth of the companies that provide security aspects like iron security doors. Iron security doors ss well as gates and window coverings made from iron represent the finest forms of home security that are available anywhere. Many people begin to think about high tech solutions in home security like the installation of cameras or digitally fenced motion detectors that will begin recording in a use for turning on lights when there is some form of motion detected within a space. While these security solutions are certainly not bad, they don’t do much to actually prevent the breaching of that space. While it may be a deterrent to have an alarm go off that notifies some sort of service, you’re still relying on that service then identifying that it isn’t legitimate threat to its, then contacting the authorities. No matter what, a person who is broken into your house understands a have at least 5 minutes before anyone would show up. This is why the majority of break ins would involve smashing a window or kicking in a door then ransacking the home for a few minutes searching for valuables. Most of the time, when you have security cameras that are recording, all you end up with is pictures of the house being robbed. There is a possibility that they may help to identify someone if that person is caught, but they do no good in actually preventing the entering of the home.
In order to fully feel secure in an area like Las Vegas, you need to install some low tech security features as well as the high tech ones. This means that you need to create a situation where it is difficult to get in, as opposed to simply monitoring someone who has already made inside. Iron is the best material to create a barrier which can be placed over the less secure aspects of your home. Most of the time, people enter your home through windows or through doors simply because they’re easy to get through. Everyone realizes that glass is easy to break, but few people realize how easy it is to actually check in a front door. They think that because it is made of wood it must be difficult to get through. When they see that a swift kick can literally remove the door from the hinges, they suddenly realize the importance of mounting an iron security door in front of that wooden door. Luckily, the security doors are being manufactured today do not look like they did in the past. You can get quite ornate with scrollwork and other features that create an elegance to the home while also providing an extra level of security. If the iron security door is welded, it will be nearly impossible to bend any of the pieces in order to create and entry hole. A person would need to cut through the iron in order to gain access, and most people who were interested in getting in and out as quickly as possible are not going to spend the time necessary to do this. Real security starts with iron. Iron security doors as well as dates made from iron are the single best thing that you can do for your family as far as security goes. This is because the majority of crimes it happened to families actually involve break ins and that occur while you are not home. Many people think of home security as far as guns and weapons, but these only have an ability to come into play if you are actually home. Since the majority of crimes happen while you are not there, it can be assumed that all of the guns that you would have in the house for protection would be stolen in a break in. The only way to have true home security is to prevent them from ever getting inside the house. While nothing is perfect, a smart homeowner can prevent many of the break ins that would happen simply by making the process more difficult for the thief. Most people who are interested in stealing from your home want to get in and out as quickly as possible, which means that if they encounter to security measures that slow them down, they are likely to move on to the next soft target. While this doesn’t bode well for your neighbors, it protects you.
When you’re creating impediments that are designed to slow down a person who is attempting to get inside your house, iron is the way to go. This is because iron is one of the strongest medals can be used in these kinds of circumstances. Wrought iron is able to be shaped in a way that is not only strong but is also elegant as well. This gives you the ability to utilize wrought iron as a security measure without also creating the look of the jail. This is why you will see so many wrought iron security doors and gates on more expensive houses. The concept is that if you can create a more secure situation while also creating beauty, that form of security should be used as much as possible. Wrought iron can also be made even stronger if it is welded at every connection point. This creates a webbing between the pieces ultimately makes the door or gate even stronger in that it cannot be kicked in and bent. For gates of this kind or doors which have been constructed in this way, it would be expected that a thief would have to spend a significant amount of time cutting through the iron in order to gain entry. This should slow down any thief and up to reconsider their actions and move on to the next target. Very few people are going to be willing to stand in front of your house with a blowtorch or a hacksaw, attempting to get through an iron security gate. They’re very likely to simply move onto the next house where they can break the window or kick in the door. Take your security seriously and install iron. Upgrading to iron with regards to your doors and gates may seem like an odd thing to say. This is because iron is not typically looked upon as something that you would add to your home in order to make it more appealing. People have thoughts of the bars on the windows that you will see in high crime areas when they think of adding security aspects to their home. While these types of designs are certainly an option if you want them, then inclusion of iron doors and gates does not have to look like a prison. One of the best aspects about iron is that it is just as strong if it is presented in a more artistic layout as it is if it is presented in the typical "bars on your windows" fashion. This means that if the doors are designed in a way that also adds more flowing scrollwork or knuckles as ornamentation, the strength aspects are not compromised. When you are designing a custom iron door, you can leave it plain or you can add to it in order to make it flow with the design of the house. When that door is then installed within the presentation, and it is the first thing that someone sees when they look at the front of the house, then the embellishments can make it or break it. If it is left plain then it will look far more like a security door than if it has some additions that are designed specifically for beauty. These beatifications are quite fashionable right now, and are generally used more extensively on higher end homes. This translates to improving the value of your existing home no matter what level it is, because the elements are associated with the higher end. It is literally "looking like rich people" because more wealthy people typically use these types of higher end doors. The beauty of iron as a security measure is that it is not exclusively used on lower end homes or in high crime areas. If it was, then the association would be more negative. Since it is commonly used on these higher end homes, it is considered an upgrade to almost any hours. This gives you the ability to upgrade your home it it's appearance and it's value by adding iron security doors to the mix, as long as they are done correctly. If the company who manufactures your doors and gates has the ability to make them custom instead of them looking like they were purchased off the rack as part of your home security, then they can add both beauty and also prevent break ins as well. It would take a would-be thief hours to saw through iron, as opposed to simply kicking down your existing door or breaking the glass of your windows. This gives you an elegance that higher end homes specialize in, while also giving you the same levels of security that keeps those higher end homes intact. When you are ready to upgrade your home in a way that will add value, call us.
The world of security has generally existed outside of the world of artistic creation. Usually, when it comes to home security you are making compromises with regards to the way you would like things to look in order to create a situation where you are also safe. You put together a beautiful looking front yard, spending large amounts of money on landscaping and painting in order to make the home look appealing and welcoming, only to ruin the look by installing cameras or fences around it all. Generally, this is the compromise that needs to be made if you are to feel protected and safe within the beautiful home environment you have striven for. This is unfortunate, as the ideal situation would be the integration of security devices and aspects that are equally beautiful as the things you have done for aesthetic purposes alone. Styles change over time, and it is a good thing that one of the more recent style developments has been the use of more classic types of architecture. With the advent of Tuscan style homes in particular, the integration of wrought iron as decoration has taken hold among higher end clients, and this style is also being embraced by lower level homes as much as can be within the pricing scope that is offered. Generally, these types of iron embellishments are integrated for pure beauty purposes, and without a large amount of functionality in today's world. An example might be the inclusion of iron widow boxes which were designed for European people to put flowers on the side of apartment buildings in order to brighten their personal spaces. The style of the window boxes being included in today's homes in places like Las Vegas brings iron into the discussion as an ornamental aspect, but an additional functionality can also be explored. Through the use of ornamental aspects within the design of security doors and fences as well as gates, an aspect of beauty can be added to your home while also improving the security features you enjoy. This gives you the ability to add something to your home that actually improves it's appearance while also increasing the secure nature of the home itself. It is a win for both beauty and functionality, and it will increase the curb appeal of your home while also making it far less likely to be broken into. The way it works is surprisingly simple. Iron security doors and gates were used over the centuries because of their ability to withstand far more than wood or glass. They make it far more difficult for someone to enter your space if they are in place. Traditionally, when including an aspect that adds beauty, the security aspects were diminished. Adding glass in order to "open the area up" makes it far easier to break through. Making something look more delicate also makes it easier to breach, but this is not the case with iron. A scroll or basket can be added to any bar without weakening it, as can almost any shape that can be dreamed up. This gives artists the ability to create security doors that are also artistic and beautiful, and which will add to your home instead of taking away from it.
If you take home security seriously, it is easy to learn from hundreds of years of experience what works and what does not. Different materials have been tried in different combinations over the years, and the results are generally mediocre next to the methods that have been proven to work throughout history. Even in the middle ages, when the security of an area became an issue that needed to be dealt with, iron was the material of choice to solve that problem. Iron as a material is nearly indestructible, and for iron to be cut or bent required far more effort than most people were willing to put in. As a result, iron fencing and gates that were constructed hundreds of years ago are still seen every day on churches and older buildings, as well as higher end Victorian homes. The choice to use iron for these purposes was obvious, because it could be shaped as necessary by a person who was trained in iron forming, and could then be joined together to form security for large areas of land. It could also be affixed to buildings at points of entry in order to allow light through, but still make entry by unwanted guests nearly impossible. Iron was popular because it made sense, and no other materials at the time were able to match it's strength and resilience. More modern homes began to revisit iron as a security measure in the 1970s, when the protection of you home began to become more important. Crime was increasing, and ultimately the methods you used to protect your space would many times be the deciding factor between who got robbed and who did not. Iron security doors and window bars became popular simply as the functional aspects were needed, but those in the business of providing these products soon revisited the old ideas as well. When appropriately welded together, ornamental aspects of iron work are just as strong as solid bars, ultimately allowing iron workers to construct doors and gates that are not only strong but also beautiful. These were the ideas of the past, where churches and more elaborate buildings protected themselves from intruders using iron work that added to the aesthetic of the building itself. Beauty and strength was allowed to function together and compliment each other. Today, people who are looking for ways to customize and beautify their homes while also adding security to the mix are experimenting with custom iron doors and gates. They are using ornamental embellishments to the iron structural frames to create beautiful doors that also make break ins nearly impossible. The new way of improving your home was once the stuff of wealthy people, but thanks to improvements to the process iron security doors that are also beautiful are available to everyone. Costs are usually associated with the amount of embellishments that are integrated into the project, but the doors can be fit to nearly any budget today. Contact us to explore your iron door options. If you can dream it up, we can make it.
